New Pregnancy Support Group Beginning in July!
We are excited to announce that Dr. Hannah Khoddam will be beginning a weekly, ACT-informed Pregnancy Support Group for women who are pregnant or have recently given birth. For details on the group and how to join, please see below!
Dr. Hannah Khoddam
Dr. Hannah Khoddam is a clinical psychologist specializing in medical psychology. Her clinical and research interests have focused on the intersection of the mind-body. Furthermore, her dissertation and research interests focused on parents in the transition to parenthood, examining biological and hormonal changes. She will bring this expertise and experience to help support group members.
Pregnancy Support Group Details
WHEN: Beginning July 2023.
WHAT: This is an open, weekly, virtual ACT-informed Pregnancy Support Group designed to help mothers during the adjustment to parenthood. Expectant and current mothers will learn ways of managing intrusive thoughts, depressed mood, and gaining support along the prenatal and postpartum period. This group is open to all California residents.
Skills will be taught across multiple areas, including:
- Managing anxiety / intrusive thoughts
- Mindfulness
- Accepting role adjustments, changes in identity
- Emotion management
