When we think of therapy we often think about group therapy. Individual therapy is a powerful tool in the therapeutic world and can be very beneficial to people who need it.

Therapy is not always done in groups. Therapy can be done in-person or over the phone with a therapist. Individual therapy, however, is when there is an individual and their therapist talking about whatever they need help with. The same principles apply when doing individual therapy as when doing group therapy – the issue at hand needs to be identified and then discussed in order for progress to be made.

Individuals who want to do individual therapy should feel free and talk to their doctor or another licensed professional about what would work best for them; they should also speak with the therapist they’re interested in seeing before taking any steps forward because there may
